In Car Video Surveillance - Arbitrator
The Panasonic Arbitrator in car video surveillance system allows you to shoot video from your law enforcement vehicle and then either transfer it to a server in your data center or burn it to a DVD for future use. The Arbitrator system includes the following components:
- Up to 2 cameras installed up front in the vehicle facing forward or backward
- Video Processing Unit (VPU) with up to 2 PCMCIA storage cards each able to hold as much as 32 hours of video
- Portable/wireless microphones commonly worn on an officer’s belt or shirt pocket for audio

With Arbitrator video is shot and stored in the VPU and then can be transferred wirelessly to a server for storage. Human intervention is not required thus eliminating the possibility of error.
Video can then be retrieved later by criteria that you would set such as officer badge #, date range of incident etc. This video can then be used in court to prosecute various offenses.
Some features of the Arbitrator system include:
- PCMCIA storage cards do not have any moving parts therefore failure is effectively reduced to zero
- Superior infrared capabilities that allow for night time video shooting
- Advanced zoom capabilities
- Ruggedization and best in class service that makes Arbitrator just as durable and reliable as the toughbooks
