Havis Mounting and Docking equipment allows you to operate your Panasonic Toughbooks from any kind of vehicle in a very convenient, flexible yet safe manner. Made of cold rolled steel, these products go through extensive G-Force testing to ensure the safety of the driver and passengers in the vehicle in which a Toughbook is mounted. Accidents do occur even in first responder vehicles, therefore it is imperative that laptops that are mounted in these vehicles are done so in a very safe manner so as not to hurt anyone.

Specific products include:

Docking Stations – Intelligent devices that allow fully rugged Panasonic Toughbooks to be used in a moving vehicle in a very convenient, easy to use, safe manner. Toughbooks can be easily docked and un-docked in these docking stations but once they are docked they will not come out in the event of an accident. These docking stations feature internal DC power supplies, USB ports, serial ports and can include Ethernet ports and TNC connectors for external antennas. These features allow your Toughbook to be charged whenever it is docked and it allows externally connected peripheral devices to be used without having to disconnect them when the Toughbook is un-docked and re-connect them when the Toughbook is re-docked.

Trays – Devices that provide a secure place for business rugged and thin and light Toughbooks to be docked in a safe and easy to use manner. No external ports or dc power supplies are included on these trays but you can very easily dock and un-dock them.

Mounting Equipment – Vehicle specific equipment that allows docking stations to be easily installed and Toughbooks to be easily used without interfering with other equipment in the car as well.

Motion Devices – Cobra Swing Arms, Lazy Susan Devices and Tilt Lazy Susan Mounts that allow the docking station with Toughbooks mounted in them to be moved up and down and side to side. These motion devices are designed to provide ergonomic comfort and avoid unnecessary back and wrist strain.
